[Teaching] 2024 가을학기 MIS와 Global Entrepreneurship 수업

 

충남대학교 경상대학 아시아 비즈니스학과 및 국제학부의 강사(유성 캠퍼스)로 학부생 및 교환 학생들을 대상으로 ‘Introduction to Management Information System(MIS)’과 ‘Global Entrepreneurship’, 2개 전공과목을 강의합니다. 현재 충남대에서만 강의합니다. MIS 수강 학부생은 31명, Global Entrepreneurship 수강 학부생은 18명입니다. 한국, 프랑스, 우즈베키스탄, 인도네시아, 방글라데시, 싱가포르, 필리핀에서 온 다양한 국적의 학생들로 구성되어 있습니다. 수업의 모든 활동들은 모두 오프라인과 영어로만 이루어집니다(수업자료 공유를 위해 Cyber -campus를 활용합니다. 일부 한국 학생들의 문의는 한국어로 응답이 이루어지기도 합니다).

 

Overview of MIS: The course of Management Information System (MIS) introduces students to the foundational concept and basic applications of information systems for profit & public and non-profit organizations. In the era of 4th industrial revolution, we are experiencing a new capacity of information and communication technology (ICT) through the Internet of Things, big data analytics, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, metaverse, etc. Our businesses demonstrate continuous change in management, which makes MIS the most existing area of study. In this course, students will learn the basic knowledge and application of information systems for profit and non-profit organizations. This course discusses various cases such as machine learning, metaverse, big data analytics, etc. Through this course, students learn application knowledge to use new information systems for profit or non-profit organizations.

Overview of Global Entrepreneurship: The introductory course of global entrepreneurship introduces students to the interesting topics of entrepreneurship. While entrepreneurship can be captured in various formats, this course deals with the challenges of creating a start-up. A start-up is a growth engine for our economy and can help our society to be diverse. However, being an entrepreneur in a start-up is not an easy job. Having an entrepreneurial mind and activity can be away from your ordinary life routine. Thus, this course gives students an initial journey or experience to think of a not-easy job and live as an entrepreneur.
